Built by Michigan Estate Planning Attorneys

CreateMIWill was created by a Michigan law firm with over 30 years of combined estate planning experience. We built it for the families we couldn't reach from behind a desk.

Why We Built This

Our law firm is based in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. We practice estate planning every day — wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, Medicaid planning, probate, the full range. We have seen what happens when families have a solid plan and what happens when they do not.

The problem is that full attorney representation is expensive. A complete estate plan from our firm runs $1,500 to $5,000 depending on complexity. We believe that is money well spent for families who can afford it. But we also know that many Michigan families cannot. And for years, we have watched those families walk away with nothing — not because they do not care about protecting their families, but because the price of professional help puts it out of reach.

We built CreateMIWill to change that. Every document kit contains the same legal templates and frameworks we use in our practice, written specifically for Michigan residents, and packaged with plain-English instructions so you can complete them on your own. The result is an estate plan that costs a fraction of what an attorney would charge but is drafted to the same legal standard.

What Makes Us Different

There are plenty of online legal document services. Most of them are national platforms that generate documents from algorithms — one-size-fits-all templates with state-specific fields bolted on. They work across all 50 states, which means they are optimized for none of them.

We only serve Michigan. Every document is drafted by attorneys who practice Michigan estate law and who understand Michigan's Estates and Protected Individuals Code (EPIC) in detail. We know that Michigan has specific witness requirements for wills under MCL 700.2502. We know that Michigan adopted the Uniform Power of Attorney Act in 2023 with new default rules. We know that Michigan's Patient Advocate Designation statute (MCL 700.5506) has unique witness restrictions. Our templates are built around these specifics, not around a national average.

Our Commitment

Every kit comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied for any reason, contact us at support@createmiwill.com and we will refund your purchase. No questions, no hassle.

We also want to be clear about what these kits are and are not. They are attorney-drafted legal document templates with detailed instructions. They are not a substitute for personalized legal advice. If your situation involves complex assets, business ownership, special needs beneficiaries, or multi-state property, we recommend consulting with an attorney. For straightforward Michigan estate planning, these kits will get the job done right.
